Craft update!

Well, I can finally update on what I did because I finally finished it! I finished my veryveryvery first lace crochet project. It took a while and me undoing my mistakes because I did not completely understand the instructions. It was tedious beyond tedious. I did the lace based on this tutorial. Maybe it was because it was my first time so I was not used to the hook, but it kept poking into my thumb in the area where the nail meets the flesh. Haha. I put tape over it to protect my thumb. This was the results! Nice or not? Heh heh! I am sososo proud of it!

Edited with Mei tu xiu xiu
Did I mention that I love my phone? It allows me to edit the photos with nice applications like Mei Tu Xiu Xiu which is in Chinese. It is amazing. It saves me the hassle of photoshopping the picture and it has special effects too! Noticed the blurrr? Haha. It is a stroke of genius I tell you. Of course, this only applies if the person editing the picture is awesome! Lovelovelove my lace. Time to buy fabric stiffener to make it into the lace bowl it is supposed to be!

I also went to Plaza Singapura to repair my mom's phone. At the same time, we went to Spotlight and Daiso. I agreed to make a scarf for my auntie and I needed more yarn for my ongoing project(which is taking FOREVER) Haha. So I got this!

I did not get the sole sap sheet! My brother did.
Haha. I got three balls of brown yarn at $4.50 each, the chiffon yarn and the buttons at Daiso for $2. I could not resist the buttons. They were sososo cute! My brother got the sole sap sheet for himself and I. Haha. It was supposed to make you feel more refreshed, but I felt no difference. I wonder how it works. Was it a scam? :/

Oh well. I will update more soon! That's all for today!

Rebecca:)

Employed as a houselady aka still unemployed.

Well...I am still unemployed. People do not wanna employ me because I will be going to Shanghai next week. So I have decided to just stop looking for any jobs till the 3rd of Janurary, when all the office reopen from the new year. I just realised I am officially into the 2nd week of my FREEDOM! Haha. Oh well. I have been BUSY!

I went out with my ex-classmates the day before my birthday and they gave me a surprise. :D We were at Soup Spoon when Michelle whipped out a box of macaroons. I was like WOW. Totally blown off my feet. I was so surprised because I did not expect anything. No one celebrates my birthday in school you know? Haha. The thing about being born in December. They knew that I do not eat cake so they got macaroons instead. Sweet surprise. We walked along Orchard road and I also got freebies!!! Haha. You can see the cheapo in me shining though me! I got Ricola candies, The Body Shop sample and a CANDY CANE! Highlight to see the whole word! It made me a real happy girl. Shabira went on a nail polish spree! She bought 6 bottles of China Glaze nail polish for $40 at a spree. All glittery and stuff. Not really my thing though. I do not mind shimmery, but glittery is a little overwhelming. Anyway, we went to McDonald's for a seat and Jing Li and Michelle tried on the colours. Haha. This is Jing Li's hand!

I like the gold, pink, purple and green!

That was the end of the day before my 19th brithday. On the day on my 19th birthday......I did spring cleaning of the storeroom. Haha. What a bummer. We ate.....noodles and egg. Haha. Another bummer! The main highlight of my day was that Freya and Rachel called my on my mobile and sang 'Happy Birthday'. It had been sososo long since I heard their voices. If I am not wrong, We last met during December last year. So it was a shock. I was overwhelmed. If I had to describe the feeling I felt, it was gooey and so sweet it feels like it is gonna give you diabetes. Haha. I was so shocked, I was in a daze for the rest of the conservation(which also meant I did not really hear what they were saying...the fact that their voices were a tad muffled due to the speaker did not help.) I hope they never read this. I am really grateful to have such wonderful friends.

The day after my birthday, I met up with Rachel. We went to the udon place for lunch(I shortlisted the udon and western place for her to choose, but I was secretly hoping that she would choose udon. She did. Yay for happy tummy!) The udon was good, I love udon. I liked the soup, but it was a little too savoury so I did not slurp it all up. Usually I would. Haha. I have been eating udon for lunch once every two days and I am not sick of it yet. This shows you how deep my love for udon is. After lunch, we sort of just wandered around. We got ice-cream at marble-slab so we can seat down and talk. Frankly...I do not like their ice-cream. It was a waste of my $4.50 if you ask me. I ordered blackberry because it seemed like it was the most popular...the tub was almost empty. But the ice-cream hardly had any berry taste, was too milky and too sweet. You shall not cheat my money again! We had a longgg talk. It has been a whileee. Rachel tells me to join USP. But I am hesitant because I know I am not as smart as her academically and I know I will feel horribly inferior to people in the USP. They are all the cream of the creams. Furthermore, I do not even know my results yet. My heart skips a beat at the thought of my results anyway. I will be happy if I can just get into FASS Political Science and take an extra module for French or something. Haha. I totally forgot the time while we were talking. I had to leave after a long talk for dinner.

My family had dinner at Feast@East at the hotel next to Paramount Hotel opposite Parkway Parade. It was good I guess. It was too tedious to keep ordering salmon sashimi to eat so I stopped after 4?5?6? servings. Greedy much? I know. I had 7 oysters. I did not eat as much because it was not veryvery nice. But, I loved their laska. Haha. The noodles were super QQ! Loved it. That was all I remembered from the buffet. Oh. And my cousins kept grabbing rabbit sweets from the jar. Haha. You can buy the candies in the supermarket for $2+ per packet but they took it from a buffet that served other goodies. Haha.

Well. It has been a longgg post, recounting on what I have been doing. I will be exploring Chinatown tomorrow. I am pretty excited to go exploring with Freya and Rachel. I hope that we will not get lost even with my amazing sense of direction. HAHA. Exciteddd. That's all folks.

Pinterest and other stuffs.

Well, woohoo! I have finally gotten an invite into Pinterest! Haha! I have an account in Pinterest finally! I had been quite interested in it because it is sort of like tumblr, but it is much easier to use:) This is my account! You can take a look at it if you wanna. It is sorta cool to be in Pinterest, because you need an invite to get in. I asked for an invite, and I think I waited for quite a while before they sent me an invite! :D I will pin stuff that I see and like:)

I have been doing lotsa stuff! Ever since my exams, I have been crafting and crafting and watching a hell lot of dramas! Hehe! Super shiok! I will definitely  post up all the projects that I do here! This is just a short update. I am not gone, just crafting!

I finished a scarf in two days, I am uber proud of myself! This goes!

Yupyup, this is my favourite bedsheet of Ariel! Okay! Look at the scarf! Fluffy and cheap because I bought the yarn from Daiso! However, maybe because it is cheap, the small maomao will come off when you pull it.

Yupyup. That's all for today! I cannot wait to show you what I have been doing!

Craft shopping!

Well, before my last paper, I got onto Sophie and Toffee's website to shop as I wanted to make use of their 25% off all purchases and I splurged. I had a budget of $50 and I managed to compress it to $46+ Thank god. I feel sorry for my bank. This is the first time I spent so much online. Of course it is not considered a lot but I am a poor unemployed (not a student anymore) okay! EVERY cent counts:) Pictures below!

Package!
I was so excited when I saw this in the mail. I was hopping like a bunny.

I am really happy with the triangular tray. No more spilling of rhinestones when I pour it back into the container:)
flowers!
I bought most of these cabochons with the intention of making them into earrings for my friends but the peach coloured ones are obviously too big, so I have to think of something else for it.

Earrings to be:)
I went to Spotlight too but did not get anything this time round. Too poor and I still have not finished using the yarn I bought the other time.

lace crochet!
I went to Chinatown and got this after spending about two hours.I wanted to try out lace crochet for a while now, so I got a hook and lace thread from Golden Dragon store to try out. I hope it will turn out okay. I will post my first try once I attempt it.

I am currently busy watching a Chinese Drama called Nu ren tian xia. It is a story about Wu Ze Tian, the only female emperor in Chinese history and how the females in the story sort of manipulate the people around them to achieve their goals. It appeals to my feminist side so much. I am enjoying this show while crocheting my scarf for my Shanghai trip. Heh heh. Funfunfun.

That's all for today! Ciao!

The moment I am free....

Oh my. I cannot express how excited I am for my exams to be finally over. There is one more paper to go before everything ends. I have already decided that since I am gonna get a sewing machine anyway, I shall start shopping for what I plan to do with the sewing machine.

First, I have to get my dad to drive me to the sewing machine company that takes in 2nd hand sewing machines and sell new ones. The one at home is spoiled anyway:'( I plan to get either Singer or Janome, but I am not too sure yet!

I am sooo gonna go on a shopping spree on Thursday to Spotlight. The only thing is,  I think I will go alone instead of asking someone because I am very indecisive and the poor person accompanying me will be so annoyed. Haha. I say this from experience. My friend got a little annoyed while waiting for me to decide on which colour to choose(I bought yarn.)

Spotlight is having a Bargain Sale till 4th December so I have to hurry! This is because the sewing patterns for Mccall's will be sold at half price! I have already shortlisted the ones I gonna get. Hehe.

First up,
http://mccallpattern.mccall.com/m6349-products-14404.php?page_id=108
Mccall M6349. Ya, I even wrote it down so I would not forget. I love the dress pattern on the right. It just looks so classic and I love the fabric used in the picture. Lovelovelove. Furthermore, the website says it is easy to  make. I do not think I will take this as my first project though. Too risky, if I go wrong, I will waste good fabric and money.

Then we have,

http://mccallpattern.mccall.com/m5094-products-5064.php?page_id=108&search_control=display&list=search
Mccall's M5094. To be frank I do not like this as much as the previous one but depending on the price, I think I might just get it anyway because I think the pink one is kinda cute. I will definitely not make this my first project.

These are the two Mccall patterns that I gonna get. Then what will be my first project?

THIS! :D

http://www.kwiksew.com/catalog/cat_detail.cfm?pid=3552&Cat=Misses&Level=Sleepwear&QL=MissSleepware

Kwik 3552. Okay, go ahead. Laugh. You know you want to. After showing you pictures of pretty dresses, I have decided to make my first project a pajamas. Haha. What a joke. Nope. It is not a joke. This looks fool proof right? So it makes sense to get this:) I can make this for everyone! Haha. I love wearing pajamas that are in the form of dresses to sleep. It is more comfy and I feel so restricted wearing pants to sleep anyway. So I have decided to buy a pretty comfy fabric and make myself pajamas! Cool? I know.

Another pattern:

http://www.thesewingplace.com/kwik-3667-misses-pullovers-p-6012.html?osCsid=m4ido4oes1ojogquim8fan1e93
Kwik-sew 3667. I like the one on the right. It look so comfy and easy to make. I am gonna make this for my mom. I hope she will like it! Haha.

Maybe I am being to ambitious for someone who does not even own a working sewing machine yet, but I am really excited. I am deciding on a budget now. I need to get the patterns, tools, fabric. Should I go to Chinatown to scout around for better fabrics offers first? But I end school at 430 thereabouts. Hmmm. Maybe I should go to Chinatown first then. Because I wanna get something else there.

BUDGETBUDGETBUDGETDARN. No money!!!! I think everything will cost a bomb. How???? I will have to start my shop soon to earn some money. I have yarn and hook to crochet stuff to sell. Hope you will support me then so that I will have money to buy more craft materials to try out more things!

That's all for today. I hope my shop online will take off like an airplane when I finally reveal it.

To dye or not to dye?

Well, with A levels coming to an end soon, there was this one teeny thing which has been bugging me. The title is the most appropriate topic sentence. Haha. Should I dye my hair!!! Whoa. It is a life changing decision! HOW!!!! I just had a big hair makeover by the way. I will probably change my profile picture after my trip to Shanghai where I will aim to take more pictures of myself and my hew hairdo.

I told myself I need a major makeover after school officially ended, and this is my first step. Next, is to decide if I should dye my hair and there are many steps to go like revamping my wardrobe and changing the kinds of clothes I wear. I wanna change so much that people will wow at the sight of me. HAHA. I am mega ambitious. Okay, I am running off topic. Lets go back to the topic of hair. I have straight naturally very dark brown hair. I do not know if it is actually black but ya.

I think everyone knew I was obsessed with ombre hair at one period of time after reading Violet's blog. I love her hair. But I also know that it is impossible for me to have hair like that because I do plan to work in am office environment and I highly doubt anyone would want to  employ me if I dye my hair to the extreme. Oh well. I was hoping that I can gradient dye my hair to became light brown without actually harming the roots of my hair. If you need an illustration,  it is something like this:

http://tabbedbrowsing.tumblr.com/post/8902690776/scissorsandthread-diy-ombre-hair-oh-the
Isn't it gorgeous? I lovelovelove and wantwantwant! The girl in the picture is very pretty too! I did my best to find one with an Asian because I am an Asian, and failed. Obviously not many Asians are that adventurous.

There are others which I really lovelovelove too. The trend now is dipped dyed hair though. It looks amazing too. But I feel that both of them are generally the same concept and they both will not harm your scalp so it is a to go for me! Look at these!

http://whishis.tumblr.com/post/3650273818
Pink+Brown+blonde. Love the model's facial expression.

Rainbow!!!!
http://pinterest.com/pin/186093058/
This has got to be one of the best ever. Look at the colour. Oh. Lovelovelove.

http://pinterest.com/pin/454436266/
This is so pretty too!

So? Do you think I should dye my hair? Will I suit the hair colour? Grrr. Such a difficult decision. Maybe I will not dye my hair or D.I.Y my hair or use temporary hair colour??? AHHH. Hate making decisions.

So should I or should I not?

Aftermath of reactivating Facebook

As you may have realized from the previous post, I was seriously considering keeping my Facebook account deactivated. How do I explain the reason? Well...you can say that I want to keep myself away from reality and not face the fact that others have moved on and continued with their lives whereas I have only reached the spot that they have reached last year or I am just not that interested in other people lives anymore. I do not know.

But oh well, I reactivated it in the end. Much have changed. I think it had been 6 months or so since I have stepped into Facebook and I can hardly recognize the interface. If I may say so, I felt like an intruder. Obviously I did not feel as if I belonged there anymore. Well, maybe I never did.

I looked through the profiles of some of my friends and frankly, I did not enjoy the experience. It was a painful reminder of what I had sacrificed. Many of them made new friends and had wonderful experiences. What did I have? I was still the same old me. I have not changed much. Maybe I became more selfish. That is a lie. I know I have became much more selfish than I ever was.

Life have made me this way. Sometimes, I give it my all and get nothing back. I get so frustrated and annoyed. I learn my lesson. Research and think about what do I expect in return and make my expectations clear before committing. I do not really like this side of me, but I understand that it is how we grow up.

Anyway, as I was saying, I really do not feel like I belong in Facebook anymore. Maybe I should just deactivate it for good. Maybe I will belong again. I do not know. What I know is, right now, at this point of time, I just wanna pretend that nothing has changed and everyone is just as I know them.

Fat hope.

That's all. Sorry for the boring/emo/Idonotknowwhatareyoutalkingabout post. I am just reflecting on my life. Haha.

I can see the light...

Well, as the title states, I can finally see the end of the tunnel. It has been a grueling three weeks so far and now I am only left with one week! How time flies. I have been thinking and thinking and thinking about what I want to do after my exams and the time of my life is finally near! I am eagerly counting down!

I will be going to a job agency tomorrow to choose a job I am gonna take up during this massive holiday. I hope that I would not need to pay much/any agency fees. I just wanna earn some money to buy my sewing machine and what nots. I am also planning for the design of my upcoming blogshop where
I will sell the stuff that I made, so if you are reading this, spread the word :D. I have been thinking of the shop name. I do not know. Oh well, I am starting this shop mainly to give an excuse for me to do more crafts. Haha. This is because as much as I love doing them, I have to consider for my pocket. Yarn is not cheap, you know. I just hope to cover my costs and have enough for the next project. I have been considering whether to try out resin making. It seem so cool, like...no one in school ever heard of it. As you may or may not know, I sort of like being special in my own way. Oh well, most people do not appreciate that anyway. I mean, if you do not understand what am I talking about half the time, you are not in the same frequency as me. I jump topics faster than a rabbit can hop. Look, I did it again! I cannot help it. Hmmm. What else can I write about today?

Nope, I am not going to write about any of my exam papers because....I absolutely refuse to relive that moment of my life again, NO WAY! Haha. Maybe that was a little extreme, but it is the truth. I hope to just get it over and done with. I have done my best, and I will just let god do the rest. I have been doodling some where, everywhere. Just to show you some, (do not judge, not good for health!)

You know, I tried to draw this Disney style, and I thought it was good, but I got no compliments. So maybe it is not that good:(

This was just some random girl sitting in front when I was studying. I was bored, so I drew her and modified the school uniform at the same time=_=

Oh man, I thought this was good too! I mean, who can beat Little mermaid? Haha, this one had a few comments, so I am proud of it!

My attempt at drawing my hand during one of the Chemistry lectures. It was like...FINALLY, my hand looks decent. Model: my hand. Haha.

This last picture was just to show you how studious I was. My binding for the lecture notes came off okay! this has never happened to me before! Shows how studious I was huh?

You might ask me, why post those amateur pictures? They are not even that good. Well, it was not for you. It is for me to look back 10 months from now and marvel at how much I improved. HAHA!

Okay, that's all folks. I am gonna doodle on my tablet for the first time in a long time.

Rebecca:)

P.S. I am seriously thinking about whether to reactivate my facebook now. I have gone without it for so long....

A Levels are here!

http://chmullig.com/2011/06/keep-calm-and-study-on/

Well...my A levels starts next week and I am feeling all the stress and emotions during this period of time. I am afraid that I have not prepared enough. But at the same time, I cannot wait for all of this to be over. 29 more days to freedom actually.

You will be seeing me more often after that. But till then, please pray for me as this will determine the next stage of my life.

I will be seeing you soon,

My Memories Suite GIVEAWAY!

Hey Everyone,

As you may or may not know, I love playing around with images and finding new ways to make my pictures look a little special. Then, I discovered digital scrapbooking. It was quite time-consuming to do it, but the effects were worth it. Just look at the blog header! Haha. I am very proud of it.

A while ago, I was really happy to be given an opportunity by My Memories to try out their Digital Scrapbooking software and host my very first giveaway! Previously, before I knew of this product, I always used Photoshop to edit my images. It can be quite tedious at times at you have to open every image to insert into a page. As I said, it was time consuming. However, with My Memories Suite, digital scrapbooking became so much easier. I had access to the templates that were in the suite and I could also use previous embellishments and papers I got from before. You can even create great pictures on days when you feel that your creative juices have dried up because there are designer templates that you can choose from. It is that easy. Below is a video on what My Memories is all about:

My Memories suite was also rated #1 on Amazon and TopTen Reviews. Well, after editing some of the pictures that was taken on a trip to Hatched with my friends, it is really no wonder why.

Yes, we ate all those delicious food, but the main point is, it was just so easy for me to compile all those photos in one album.

My favourite things about My Memories Suite are:

1) It is so much easier to add effects onto the items you add onto the pictures like shadows and rotation.

2) If I did not have a photo-editing software, My Memories Suite comes with some of the most common photo filters to add effects to your pictures.

3) You do not need any additional software to use this with. It is really an All-in-one programme!

I really look forward to creating picture books like in the video. It can be a really good software to show off your pictures to your friends and family.

Okay, here comes the best part. My Memories have kindly given me a set of My Memories suite(worth $40) to giveaway to one lucky person!

Here is how to go about winning this amazing software:

1) In order to qualify for the giveaway, please go to My Memories, browse through their paperpack and layouts and tell me which is your favourite by commenting to this post.

2) For additional entries, you can

Liking or following My Memories on facebook and twitter will gain you one entry each!

This giveaway ends on October 8th. I will choose the winner then by randon number generator. I wish you all the best!

Last but not least,
As a special thank you for reading my blog, I would like to share with you a promo code that provides a $10 discount off the purchase of the My Memories Suite Scrapbook software and a $10 coupon for the MyMemories.com store -( $20 value!) My code is: STMMMS40664

Well, that's all! Thank you so much for visiting this blog:)
I hope you visit again!

Busy as a bumble bee.

Well, I have been really busy studying in school recently. I get so tired that I collapse onto the bed when I reach home. How sad is that:( But I guess it is a happy sad because I can sacrificing my free time for my future. Sigh. This is really the first time that I went back to school every single day!!! Oh wells. I guess it was not that bad because I always had someone to accompany me. You know, even if you are not talking, just studying by yourself, having someone there makes you feel much less lonely. I mean... you know what I meant. There would be someone to eat lunch with you! Haha.

A few good things happened to me these weeks and I am sort of excited to share them with you. Firstly....I got a new phone!!! I had my Sony Ericsson W995 for what felt like the longest time because everyone was using a smartphone and I was stuck with a walkman phone which was 'in' ten thousand years ago! Haha, not like I am complaining. I still love my W995. It served me well. It was my lullaby, my storybook, my camera, my gameboy, my alarm clock etc etc... So anyway, I went to the IT fair last week and got myself a new HTC Sensation!
http://www.htc.com/www/smartphones/htc-sensation/
Yes, in case you are wondering, it is enormous. It is even bigger than an iphone. Can you believe how big is that? So far, the only complaint I have is that the battery runs out awfully fast. Like...superfast. When studying in school, I only listen to music but I have to charge the phone in school. I finally understand why iphone users always bring their chargers to school.  It is okay if I do not use any apps though. The display is very nice----> high battery consumption. My favourite applications are HJ lite(teaches you Japanese), dropwords and coin dozer. Surprisingly, I do not really download tons of games. I am pleasantly surprised by myself. Haha.

Secondly, I ordered stuff from the online store SGlady again! I just enjoy looking at wacky stuff online. I got the stuff a day after I ordered it. I love how they are so efficient. Heheh. Good for people like me who cannot wait for their stuff to be delivered to them! :) Anyways...

This was what I got. Postage was 80 cents but I did not need to pay anything because they have free shipping. Haha.

From left: Strawberry curlers x2, hair straightening comb, Free DIY cross stitch kit and Magnetic toe ring x2

I know. Magnetic toe ring sounds beyond dubious. It is supposed to help you lose weight via accupressure. But after trying it out for one day, I have decided that it is too uncomfortable to wear. I rather not lose that weight. Maybe my toes are just fat:'(  The strawberry curlers worked fine, although, if you have a lot of hair, you will need more than 1 pack. The hair straightening comb is a little hard, made of plastic, but I think that it sort of works. Especially if you use it to comb your hair after shower and when it is damp, then again maybe it was just my imagination. Anyway, I gave the cross stitch kit to my mom. I give up cross stitching again. My previous attempt ended up as a catastrophe. My stitches were too ugly, so I cut them up and ended up ruining the netting thingie.

Lastly, Mymemories has kindly given me two sets of their software. One to try out and the other one to giveaway to my readers, I will be hosting this giveaway later this month because I am in the middle of my exams right now and I would really love to try out the software before giving you a sneak peek of what is it all about. So stay tuned!

Cross your fingers for me at the same time! Ciao!

In my shopping cart...#5

Well, same assumption as always, if I had the money, I would get....

http://www.dmusastore.com/p-3695-sara.aspx
Comfy and pretty shoes from Dr. Marten's. I like chunky heels. They always look comfy.
Dresses - Clothing - Topshop
http://www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=0&viewAllFlag=&catalogId=33057&storeId=12556&productId=2539832&langId=-1&sort_field=Relevance&categoryId=208523&parent_categoryId=203984&pageSize=20&siteID=Hy3bqNL2jtQ-nGFPAsxWeMBtjm.y16D1nA&cmpid=aff_ls_tsus&_$ja=tsid:21416|prd:Hy3bqNL2jtQ
Pretty dress, even prettier if worn with petticoats. I lovelovelove puffy skirts. If only I dared to wear them.
http://www.disneystore.com/nightmare-before-christmas-organic-cotton-expressions-jack-skellington-tee-for-women/mp/1287633/1000038/
This shirt appeals to me, I do not know why. It is cheap, by the way, only S$12. But, not available here. Pity. >:/
A duper cool watch that requires you to dial 117 before it tells you the time! So much cooler than the regular watch! Furthermore, you must dial it the retro way! I used the retro phone in Hokkaido before, it is fun and wacky! I want!

http://www.irregularchoice.com/shop/womens/product/4248/j-kelly.html?offset=58

I like this. It is cute. The best thing is, you can probably DIY it with mod podge after wearing it for a while or when you get sick of being plain jane.

That's all for today, Ciao!

Rebecca:)

Gastronomic Journey to the moon

Well, I have been eating rather good food the last few months. In Lynette's words, my tum-tum is happy. However, as happy as it has become, it means that it is growing bigger too! Time to go on a special diet!:/ I am not a avid photographer, so do not expect too many pictures!

Oysters from Trader's Hotel. They are too big, and if my guess is not wrong, grown in freshwater. So the taste is not very strong. But look at the size! For someone who can eat 20 oysters, I have to say that these were big. I stopped after the tenth. I like eating it with a wedge of lemon. Since these were not salty, I found that adding a few grains of slat makes it more delish!

I lovelovelove eating home alone because I get to cook whatever I like to eat and eat wherever I want, which is in front of the computer. This is Korean chacharoni (jajangmyun in Korean). It is instant noodles by the way. Veggies and tomatoes not included. It would have tasted better with kimchi, but I did not have those at that point of time. Although it does not look good, but it is really yummy:)
My mummy bought me these! Yumyumyum, one of my favourite ice-cream shops, but sososo expensive!(money fly away) :'( It comes with a funny story though because my mum seldom eat ice-cream. We passed by the ice-cream shop at Citilink, they were selling two cups of ice-cream for $4, which is a good buy because it is so expensive on normal days, so I asked my mummy,"Can I have a cup of ice-cream? Preetty please? We share!" My mum told me I can have both, so I got blue one(forgot the name) and the berry one. My mom was holding the cup of ice-cream and I told her to try it. Lo and behold, she liked it(rare!!!) and she ate it all up:/ I ate the blue one, which was really good too. But I wanted the berry one so after dinner we got two more cups for my brother and I and I finally got to eat the berry one too. Yay to me! Two cups of yummy ice-cream in a day!
Another of my home alone meals. Aglio Olio! Nomnomnom! >.< One of my favourites:) You know, I swear it is the camera. DSLRs make everything look good, so even though this do not look like much, it is yummy because this picture was taken from my phone.  I know the previous sentence is very incoherent, but that is the way I think and I am currently to lazy to correct it! Hmmpf.

I went to Shabira's house for lunch today for Hari Raya. I love her mummy's cooking, especially the mutton. Oh god, it was good. I got a good deal because I got to have one more piece of mutton from Sha's friend because she did not like mutton and I gave my chicken to Sha because I do not like chicken, so I was happy I did not need to eat it.(Sneaky me, but it was a win win situation!) I do not have any photos, but I was annoyed by her sister's friend because he kept saying how women should all learn to sew and become virtuous wives. Oh my, what a annoying Male Chauvinist Pig.

Well, that's all, I know it has been a long time since I posted, but I was busy as a bumble bee. Studying is tough job. Ciao!

I miss YOG!

Well, I know I have been missing lately. I was too lazy to post anything. Heh heh. It has officially been a year since the inaugural YOG in Singapore!!! Sigh. How fast time passes even if you are not having fun. I really missed the times we had. I did not take many pictures though. I should have! I was too busy entertaining random athletes, not like some people who was so busy taking pictures. I know you like meeting people all over the world, I do too. But you should know where are your priorities. You are there to entertain then, not really take lots of pictures with them! Argh. Whatever la >P I had a GREAT, MARVELOUS, WONDERFUL, (Insert similar adjectives here)^5 time! I gained really a lot of experience planning stuff and I learnt a hell lot of things about different kinds of people. From those who ignore you, irritate you, are very irresponsible, unreasonable, you said it, I think I got it. Oh well, I think you are not really interested in my rambling anyway, so I shall just get to the pictures, shall I? Please note that these pictures were taken from a old 9MP camera, so the quality is ridiculous:/

So this was the place where I was for 4 days. I was a World Culture Village(WCV) Host! In this WCV, there are many booths representing the different countries. My school was in charge of GERMANY! Anyway, only authorised personnel were able to enter for security purposes and they check your bags and you have the scan your tags before entering. So I think it is cool that I was there. Heh heh! So I thereby give you a peek into the WCV!

I photoshopped this a long while back, so technically, I did not do anything much. I just blurred the background and removed some freckles. I am glad to say that those were my good face days:) I did not even make any eyes bigger. Har har. This is a picture of the two in-charge! Josephine(left) and myself. Obviously I am the one with the bigger face, and I was the ''camwhorer''. It did not help that the picture was very nicely taken, my face is still big. I had braces then. I do not like smiling with braces. Glad to have them off now :D Compare the face width. Eww.

I know this is unclear, but I cannot help it:/ I told you the camera was lousy. I admit that I reduced the size of my face here by quite a bit. My face actually looks okay! Big face, Moonface!<---From the faraway tree, one of my favorite children's books ever! Anyway, this picture was with athletes from Antigua-Barbuda. I am pretty sure this is on one of the last days, because I had badges on my lanyard. I kept the lanyard, but I think it is tarnishing:(

This is a picture with Karla and her fellow swimmer Kevin! I was supposed to bring her around Singapore, but because she had to go to Pulau Ubin for her ''adventure'' and subsequently I had school, we could not meet :'( Pity. I was so excited. They are from Guatemala. Look at the badges they have on their lanyards! According to Karla, it is something like a tradition. Each athlete is given a lot of badges on their way here and they trade badges. So she has many many of them. Me thinks it is a cool way to interact. I managed to get some from the athletes! Yay me! The largest one was the Taipei pin. It had two backings. I had fun with the Taiwanese athletes  They said that Singaporeans Chinese cannot make it:/

Here are two Chinese atheles. I remember the guy went on to win a medal. This was also when I felt that my Chinese was terribly bad :/ He was struggling to make the friendship band. Oh, I forgot to mention. The athletes came to the booth and learn about Germany, they also got to do some handicrafts like make friendship bands. If you look carefully, you can see the friendship bands on some of the athletes wrists:) I remember I had difficulty teaching the Chinese guy how to tie it in Chinese-___-|| Josephine got to wear a German costume which belong to a German intern from the embassy. Lucky:) I like that kind of dresses, especially the bodice. I am not being feminist, but I swear, girls can do friendship bands better than guys. There are two designs, the Chinese staircase and diagonal. I usually let them choose which one do they wanna learn, but when I see some of the guys, I go like, hmmm, I think you should do this one. Because you will see,  a girl can do it in 30-40 minutes, a guy does it in about half a day. Haha! Especially the really tall ones. Tall=big hands=big fingers= not good for handling threads.

Okay. Two Aussie and one German. I am too lazy to type out the entire conversation, but I think they spent 2 hours in the booth! :) I was telling the German athlete how to tie the friendship band the entire time. And yes, that was all he did. The girl managed to do the friendship band and paint a buddy bear!

I reallyreallyreally missed those times. If Singapore ever organise something like this again, I hope that I will get the opportunity to volunteer again:)

Well, I really need to get back to work now so I will stop here. Ciao!

I feel a change...

Well, as the title states, I can feel a change in me. It is so weird, but in a good way. As I have been saying, I have been staying back to do my homework and revise my subjects to pull up my grades after being traumatized in this recent BT. It really woke me up. I have turned over a new flower(why leaf when flowers are so much better?) and threw most of my bad habits away. Anyway, that is not the main point. The point is, I am changing. I can feel it. I am starting to enjoy studying again! It is so freaky. I mean, I still get dejected sometimes when I get stuck at a question, but I can ask my classmates and we will ponder over it together. It is quite fun. This realization dawned upon me as we were having Chemistry remedial(for the whole class as we[minus one guy] sucked at the subject) My classmate Lynette:) and I were marking our MCQ questions together and we compared the questions we got wrong. I tried to explain to her and vice visa. It is really funny when we both got the question wrong and we stared very hard at the computer screen to decipher what did the model answer mean.  It was really funny. I had not had so much fun checking answers before when most of my answers are wrong. I learnt much more in that 1.5 hours than in a normal lesson.

It made me realize that everything can be enjoyable when you do it with the right people. I am glad my classmates are like that. Although we may hurt each other unintentionally sometimes, but we still care for each other. I confess, I used to always fall asleep during lessons and when the teacher ask me questions, I am grateful that both the Josephines sitting beside me will try whisper the answer to me. Even if the answer is wrong, I felt warm inside. Thank you so much dearies. I appreciate it. I think they are so used to doing it that even when I am awake and did my tutorial and have the answer, they will still whisper their answer to me. Hehe:) Old habits die hard.

But anyway, the main point of this blog post is actually to tell you I think studying makes me gu-gu(insane in Singlish) Guess what did I do today??? I stayed in school for night study, and decided I wanted to JOG today. I feel fat. My dad called me to tell me he wanted to jog to my school then we walk home together. But I wanted to jog too so I asked him to wait for me to come home. He said, ''Why don't you jog home?'' I was like, :O ''Crazy! Carry my heavy bag and jog home?'' In the end, we decided that he will bring my running gear to school and I will leave my stuff in school, only bringing my wallet and phone home. So, for the first time in my school bag's life, it is camping in school. I am home. It feels very satisfying to jog actually because I always had an aversion to jogging(long story). Maybe it is due to the stress I am experiencing now or the feeling of fatness. It does not seem so much a torture as it used to. Maybe it was the fact that it was at night and the weather is cooling. I do not know. All I know is, I am glad my father came to run with me today. I needed that. Thank you daddy:) But do not expect this to be an often occurrence as I am generally a lazy person that dislikes the sun. I only jog at night.

This brings me to another point. I usually hug my bag and sleep on the bus in the mornings. I need the bag to sleep. How am I going to get my morning nap tomorrow? Hmmm. Anyway, the soccer teacher saw my dad and myself in jogging gear at school and he was looking at my dad up and down, up and down. Maybe it is because my father ran 9 km before he met me. No wonder I waited so long for him. Haha.

Anyway, after a bout of bad luck, things are finally looking better. I am slowly but surely recovering from the cold, I started to like studying again and my parents are not scolding me recently. I guess they have seen my efforts towards my studies. In case you are wondering what bad things happened to me, here goes(warning:BLOOD)

Actually, this is my own fault because I left my needles hanging on my curtains after sewing a few buttons  because I was to lazy to walk to the sewing kit to keep it.

Other than this, I had a paper cut, was late for school three times in three weeks with only one chance left for the next three weeks, wasted $10 on taxi fare and still ended up in school late(most painful) and spent almost half of my allowance on taxi fare so that I will not be late for school.

I should not complain right? I live an exciting life. But please let it be less exciting till the first of December. My heart might not be able to take it. I am growing old. Haha.

That's all. This a a prime example of a very long post. Thank you for listening to me(if you did) I wonder if anyone's life more exciting then mine? Till next time, ciao!

5 Cool DIYs I wanna try! #4

Well. I have been unbelievably studious lately. It is so tiring:( My conclusion is that I am not very productive at studying. If only we can apply international trade here. Then Apphia can be the brains, I can be the wittiness and we can exchange by brain diffusion. Of course, This will only be able to happen in my dreams. Anyway, Since I do not have the time to craft, I console myself by looking for things I can craft when 1st December comes. I am scared and excited. There are only 100 days more till As. I am so not prepared. So I shall not talk more and list down those cool DIYs so I will be able to get back to studying:/

This is so cute. A little time consuming though.

I love the look of this. It is a little classy. It reminds me of little girls in frocks. They usually wear headbands like these.

I had the ugly version of this when I was younger. Wish I had this instead. I would want little rabbit on it(something Sailormoon wold have)

I have an idea for this, not exactly the same, but using this technique. It will involve crochet.

http://www.makeit-loveit.com/2011/06/repurposing-tshirts-into-5-strand-braided-headbands.html
I have to admit. I tried making this, but because the shirt material, my inexperience and my "professionistism", it was pretty much a disaster. So till I get a new shirt to play with, this will be on my list of DIYs to try.

Yupyup, so that is all for now. Ciao!
