Hectic, food, blood and omg, cuteness!

Life has been HECTIC. Assignment, presentations and everything else rained down on me. Boo-hoo! I really hope that I have the strength to hold on till the end. EXCHANGE PROGRAMMMEEEE! I MUST. Cannot keep my eyes off my goal.

Okay. Other than that, CNY came and went. It was really great to catch up with my classmates from Junior College. Super grateful to my class rep's mom for organising everything and him for inviting us:)

I really miss my JC class mates ^^ I remember all the funky things we did. Till now, I cannot get over how Josephine holds her breakfast when she eats them. HAHA. When I first got my phone, the first thing they did was to take pictures. HEHE.

LOOK! So adorable, I tell you! Love them to bits! By the way, that is my favourite expression. That's why they did it. This was during the 'study for ''A'' levels' period. I cannot believe I miss it a bit. Just the lunch part. Maybe. It was traumatic. I need time to recover. HAHA.

AMBUSH! I love the sausages! Nomnomnom. I miss Germany. I miss their REAL sausages. This was with Fion at Junction 8! I remember we did not want to eat with our tutor, so we said we needed to go home when we went to J8 to eat. HAHA. *secret* I hope the tutor never sees this. Cheese bratwurst was goooood. Miss currywurst and bratwurst. D:

Random picture of the hotel in Bangkok! The sweet housekeeping person(I bet it was a lady) arranges my travel buddies like this! SO CUTE!

Finally ate at Food for Thought was Lynette! She ordered white wine with iced tea and I ordered red wine with iced tea. Tasted like red wine with iced tea. HAHA. Right picture is after you have mixed the drink. Looks like Ribena, but it taste better!(In my opinion)

Very interesting book I read about the Chinese culture! Best thing: This was written by non-Chinese. As a Chinese, I can see where they are coming from. Emic vs Etic (Sociology/Anthropology)

Saw this in the library and I mentally went OMG! I think I will borrow it to read......one day. When I have finished my actual readings and have nothing to do. HAHA.

Ate Hall 14's Western food! Sausages! Lamb, cheese and breakfast, if I did not remember wrongly. Not bad! But Ambush's is nicer! Okay. This is only $5.50. Cheap already la!

I donated blood yesterday, the first time after three years. After the terrible incident. I am really glad I did it. I do not know, but I always feel like in order to prove to myself that I can do it, I will swallow my fears and get it over and done with. Same as the first time I donated, Yi Ting went with me but she did not pass the iron count test. I was really anxious! I had no idea what to expect. But after that, I was glad I did it. I felt like I did a little for the society. Maybe it is like we learnt in Soci, it is the need to belong somewhere, to a community, so you do something that you think makes you belong. I call it social responsibility. I am not a doctor, I am not a nurse. I cannot do big things like an operation or injection. But. I know in my heart that I may have done something that saved someone's life and like a medical personnel, I was somewhat involved. I am happy.

It did not hurt when I donated blood yesterday, but I have to say I got a bit worried when I saw the needle. HAHA. (I am looking at the wound now, by the way) Two person donated, five people enjoyed the refreshments. Hey hey, it was a buy two get three free deal okay! Haha. I am glad I overcame the mini phobia I had for blood donation. Will I do it again? Yes. Definitely. I have a picture of my blood bag, but I doubt it is good to post it online. What a little girl saw the picture? Oh dear. I can show you if you want to see it. I find it amusing that my blood was warm, by the way. I mean, like, when she put the tube across your wrist, it was WARM. Cool huh. Haha.

I have to admit that I tend to advocate and encourage people to donate blood. It is an experience. I tried convincing some Soci people to do it. Did not really work. Hmmm. Even free Milo did not entice them. Haha.

Okay, I will update again when I am free. Ciao!

A post because I cannot sleep.

I cannot sleep! I was so sleepy the whole day dozing off in my lecture and in the car! But now, when I am supposed to be sleeping, I am suffering from insomnia! So much for more sleep for better skin -.-

School had been terrifying lately. This semester brought me to the world of clicker quizzes which is a pain in the arse! You have a time limit for the questions and the questions AREN'T easy! They account for some percentage of the final grade. I have a mini heart attack EVERY TIME. God. Reading the readings does not help. Last week, I did not read the readings, I got 3 wrong. This week, I read and I was confident that I would because it was sampling and I learnt it in JC and I STILL got 3 wrong. TELL ME HOW!

Technology ain't always the best thing for your grades. No no.

On the other hand, I think my coursemates and I have bonded more after one semester together! We understand more about each other's quirks and stuff (okay, I admit, it is more like my unique nature they have gotten used to.) Look! The best thing about university? Photo booths with pro cameras when they have an event! We are going again tomorrow to take more photos. Haha.

The module I am taking, BS8003, Science or Fiction: Biology in Popular Media, makes Wednesdays the best day of the week even though I have a 0930 lecture. I look forward to the 2 hour break when we go explore NTU's many canteens. Haha. ^^ I recommend this module to anyone looking to clear their STS GER-PE. I am a anti-sci-fi person, but I have started to look forward to weekly movie screenings! I swear, this is the only lecture where majority of the course people would turn up in because they wanna watch the movie in the LT. Attendance is not even taken and the lectures are recorded. My coursemates and I have to go to the lesson at least 20 minutes early or we would not be able to find enough seats for the 5 of us! (YES, I convinced many people to sign up for the same electives as me!)

Oh, did I tell you I was late for lecture this morning? I am so silly. I overshot my train to Boon Lay and Pioneer and ended up in ulu Joo Koon. This is really bad. I make all the efforts to be on time and still be late. Might as well sleep on my lovely bed for 10 more minutes and arrive in school at the same time.

Oh, I was just thinking if I should use a passive or active voice when writing on my blog. Technically speaking, since I am "writing" it and not "saying" it out aloud, I should use the passive voice. But it sounds so formal at times that I will no longer sound that what I sound like! Get my dilemma? I wished people still used picture language(or whatever it is called) to save me from using excessive brain cells by complicating life with grammar.

What else have I been doing? Oh. I have been telling people I don't fancy roses. I really don't! They are so overrated and too mainstream! I don't think flowers are a good use of money. They do not do anything but to look elegant and unapproachable and expensive. They have thorns and they die easily. My favourite kind of flowers? Definitely baby's breath. I am pretty sure the real baby's breath does not smell so pretty. It would probably smell like bad milk after all the sugars have been broken down by the amylase in the saliva and it becomes plague, suffocating and killing the teeth. Sorry, I just bio-ed a little. Anyway, it is often placed together with other flowers like roses or daisies or whatever. They are always overlooked! But they are actually so fluffy looking and happy looking and so wild! Looks like what freedom would be if it was a flower. I love it.

Anyway, I was going to sleep just now when my dad called me out of my room to tell me that the one or more of the mollies that we bought gave birth to baby mollies! *squeals* So I went take them out from the main tank to separate them from the adults so they will not get eaten. There were 35 of them. Either two mollies gave birth, or that was one mama preggo (ref. popcap game, insaniquarium) or two mollies were pregnant. I tend to chose fishes that looked pregnant because I was always so fascinated about it and always wanted to see my fishes give birth! I haven't got the chance to see it yet though. Spy the fishies! They look like little dots!

Okay, that's all for today.

I hope that my excitement has waned off and I can finally rest my body.

Ciao! Bonne nuit!
